Abigail Saxon

Abigail is passionate footballer who has been forced to retire early because of injury and Arthritis. She is driven to provide a solution for the lack of provision of sport for disabled people after working as a former coach with a Community Sports Trust. Abigail has experience being fully responsible for a variety of sports programmes, working with a variety of people from youngsters to adults inclusive of those with additional needs.

As a competent young achiever, Abigail's Coaching qualifications include -FA Level 1, -FA Youth Module 1,-FA Level 2, -FA Youth Module 2, -FA UEFA B Licence. She also holds an NVQ In Business Administration and the relevant Child Protection Certificate and First Aid Certificates.

She has gained lots of experience working within schools, and in Community Inclusion projects such as disability teams and disaffected children. She has also worked in a care home for challenging young people with emotional and physical needs.

Abigail has worked in the FA Centre of Excellence girls team for a number of years. She has played football for Colchester United since the age of 10 years old and has completed their Centre of Excellence programme, their Academy programme and Ladies Set Up. She retired in 2011.
